Глава 17

1 И воцарился4427 Иосафат,3092 сын1121 его, вместо него; и укрепился2388 он против Израильтян.3478

2 И поставил5414 он войско2428 во все укрепленные1219 города5892 Иудеи3063 и расставил5414 охранное5333 войско5333 по земле776 Иудейской3063 и по городам5892 Ефремовым,669 которыми овладел3920 Аса,609 отец1 его.

3 И был Господь3068 с Иосафатом,3092 потому что он ходил1980 первыми7223 путями1870 Давида,1732 отца1 своего, и не взыскал1875 Ваалов,1168

4 но взыскал1875 он Бога430 отца1 своего и поступал1980 по заповедям4687 Его, а не по деяниям4639 Израильтян.3478

5 И утвердил3559 Господь3068 царство4467 в руке3027 его, и давали5414 все Иудеи3063 дары4503 Иосафату,3092 и было у него много7230 богатства6239 и славы.3519

6 И возвысилось1361 сердце3820 его на путях1870 Господних;3068 притом и высоты1116 отменил5493 он и дубравы842 в Иудее.3063

7 И в третий7969 год8141 царствования4427 своего он послал7971 князей8269 своих Бенхаила1134 и Овадию,5662 и Захарию2148 и Нафанаила5417 и Михея,4322 чтоб учили3925 по городам5892 Иудиным3063 народ,

8 и с ними левитов:3881 Шемаию8098 и Нефанию,5418 и Зевадию2069 и Азаила,6214 и Шемирамофа8070 и Ионафана,3083 и Адонию138 и Товию2900 и Тов-Адонию,2899 и с ними Елишаму476 и Иорама,3088 священников.3548

9 И они учили3925 в Иудее,3063 имея с собою книгу5612 закона8451 Господня;3068 и обходили5437 все города5892 Иудеи3063 и учили3925 народ.5971

10 И был страх6343 Господень3068 на всех царствах4467 земель,776 которые вокруг5439 Иудеи,3063 и не воевали3898 с Иосафатом.3092

11 А от Филистимлян6430 приносили935 Иосафату3092 дары4503 и в дань4853 серебро;3701 также Аравитяне6163 пригоняли935 к нему мелкий6629 скот:6629 овнов352 семь7651 тысяч505 семьсот76513967 и козлов8495 семь7651 тысяч505 семьсот.76513967

12 И возвышался1980 Иосафат3092 все более1432 и более4605 и построил1129 в Иудее3063 крепости1003 и города5892 для запасов.4543

13 Много7227 было у него запасов4399 в городах5892 Иудейских,3063 а в Иерусалиме3389 людей582 военных,4421 храбрых.13682428

2 Chronicles

Chapter 17

1 AND Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.

2 And he placed mighty men in all the fortified cities of Judah, and appointed governors in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim which Asa his father had taken.

3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the first ways of his father David and did not pray to images;

4 But he prayed to the LORD God of his father and walked in his commandments and kept his statutes, and did not do according to the ways of Israel.

5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought presents to Jehoshaphat and he had riches and honor in abundance.

6 And his heart was strengthened in the ways of the LORD; moreover he uprooted the altars and the high places which were within the territory of Judah.

7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent and called his princes and the commanders of the armies, even to Obadiah, Zechariah, Nathanael, Melachiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.

8 And with them were the Levites, even Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zechariah, Ashaiel, Natorah, Jonathan, Adonijah, and Tobiah. These were all Levites, and with them were Elishama and Jehoram, priests.

9 And they taught in all the land of Judah, having the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah and taught the people.

10 And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

11 Also some of the cities of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, silver, and poll tax; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he-goats, yearly.

12 And Jehoshaphat grew exceedingly rich; and he built in Judah castles and store cities.

13 And he had much business in the cities of Judah; and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.

14 And this is the number of them according to the house of their fathers. Of Judah, the commanders of thousands: Adino the chief, and with him mighty men of valour, three hundred thousand.

15 And next to him was Johanan the commander, and with him two hundred and eighty thousand valiant men.

16 And next to him was Shemai the son of Zerah, with whom the LORD was pleased, and with him two hundred thousand valiant men.

17 And of Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valour, and with him, armed with bow and shield, two hundred thousand.

18 And next to him was Jehozabad, a mighty man, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand ready for the war.

19 These were all who served King Jehoshaphat, besides those whom the king put in the fortified cities throughout all the land of Judah.

2 And he placed mighty men in all the fortified cities of Judah, and appointed governors in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim which Asa his father had taken.

3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the first ways of his father David and did not pray to images;

5 И утвердил3559 Господь3068 царство4467 в руке3027 его, и давали5414 все Иудеи3063 дары4503 Иосафату,3092 и было у него много7230 богатства6239 и славы.3519

5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought presents to Jehoshaphat and he had riches and honor in abundance.

6 И возвысилось1361 сердце3820 его на путях1870 Господних;3068 притом и высоты1116 отменил5493 он и дубравы842 в Иудее.3063

6 And his heart was strengthened in the ways of the LORD; moreover he uprooted the altars and the high places which were within the territory of Judah.

7 И в третий7969 год8141 царствования4427 своего он послал7971 князей8269 своих Бенхаила1134 и Овадию,5662 и Захарию2148 и Нафанаила5417 и Михея,4322 чтоб учили3925 по городам5892 Иудиным3063 народ,

7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent and called his princes and the commanders of the armies, even to Obadiah, Zechariah, Nathanael, Melachiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.

18 And next to him was Jehozabad, a mighty man, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand ready for the war.

19 These were all who served King Jehoshaphat, besides those whom the king put in the fortified cities throughout all the land of Judah.
